Champions’ Breakfast No.11 enjoyed in a spring-like atmosphere
The 8 of March morning arrived with spring-like sunshine and lapfuls of tulips. This atmosphere in celebration of International Women’s Day provided the backdrop for the 11th Champions’ Breakfast, which, as usual, convened breakfasters for a cup of coffee and informal conversation, as well as lectures about the latest developments in marketing and other fields. Check out the photo gallery here.
This time, the breakfast began with an address by DDB Consulting strategic planner Artis Krilovs, who shared his observations about the new marketing trend of offering consumers the opportunity to pay for brand goods or services with a different – value added currency. This trend which is based on the replacement of cash as a means of payment with payment in another form, opens up broad opportunities for brands to obtain much more than money; that is, invaluable additional added value. In his presentation, Artis shares countless examples of global practice, which prove that there are sound reasons for the growth of this trend. Presentation & video
Next up, Inga Sprinģe, Director of the Baltic Centre for Investigative Journalism Re:Baltica proved that the general public is an invaluable information medium. We all possess knowledge and observations, which, successfully collated, constitute an opportunity to obtain a quality perspective about developments in various sectors. Even though Inga represents the field of investigative journalism, the mechanisms and principles for obtaining this information from the masses can undoubtedly also be usefully applied in marketing projects. On this occasion, for dessert we presented “Riga Wine & Champagne” organiser Aigars Nords’ wine and champagne legends, whose full-blooded narration only he is capable of performing. Detached from Aigars’ storytelling, they lose some of their charm, therefore we recommend taking a breather, sipping some wine, and listening to Aigars’ narrative. Video
