ADWARDS Jury Awards Two Orders of Merit to DDB (0)

We’re proud to announce DDB’s all time best performance in the history of the Adwards festival. This year, we received one gold, one silver and were nominated as finalists for three other projects.
Centis Ubele, the Maxima spokesperson created by DDB is an advertising icon ! Last week, at the Adwards festival awards ceremony which is a celebration of creative excellence, Maxima received a 1st Class Order of Merit in the integrated campaigns category!
The viral super hit, Centis’ Egg Game created by DDB and Cube-Media and launched during Easter 2008 received a 2nd Class Order of Merit in the interactive design category!
Another three works which DDB’s creative minds were involved in creating were nominated as finalists. They were Zelta Zivtina’s integrated campaign, Zelta Zivtina’s game MAZIE in partnership with Cube-Media and the Balta KASKO advertising photograph together with Gatis Rozenfelds.
It is always an honour to receive an Adwards order of merit, but this year this competition which champions outstanding creativity was special for another reason. The competition’s works were judged by a strong jury, raising the accent in regard to the quality of work even higher. Jury President, Joakim Jonason is a living advertising legend who has worked on the creation of the international brand, H&M and the famous Diesel campaign ‘For Successful Living’. He’s also the only person who, in addition to all the other awards he’s received, has won a Cannes Grand Prix on three occasions . The jury line up also featured one of the most award winning Brazilian copywriters, Ruis Lindenberg and Mikael Hosler, Creative Director at Jung von Matt/Spree advertising agency in Berlin, as well as several other well known industry representatives.
The most powerful ideas arise through cooperation. And five Adwards nominations are the joint achievement of the DDB creative team, our great cooperation partners and brave clients!
