Baroque and football dramatically activate mobile web use! (0)

Who among us hasn’t experienced failing to notice an important e-mail or only reading it after the message it contains is no longer relevant? This is exactly what happened to the captain of the DDB-founded Ērgļi Football Club and to a girl who was one of a group of old high school classmates. Viewing these comic episodes from daily life, any of us could say – if only they’d had access to the mobile web... We were delighted to discover that these stories not only entertained viewers, but also provided them with a genuine reason to finally connect this LMT service. Statistics show that, compared with February, in March there was a dramatic 400% increase in the number of new mobile web users. The campaign confirmed that highlighting the need for the service served to underline demand for it, and therefore in the sequel, we created a need to be informed and to have access to the latest news by creating a story from the real life of an ice hockey fan!

“Mobile web is still a comparatively new service for the majority of the Latvian audience. It requires additional understanding on the part of customers about the service itself and the options it provides. The introduction of the service test offer, simplification of the e-mail technical solution in partnership with Inbox.lv, and use of the ‘real life’ advertising story format have been successful in generating interest in this service among customers. The successful integration of the aforementioned marketing tools has laid the foundation for these outstanding results,” said LMT’s Head of Marketing Normunds Zalpēteris in commenting upon these results.
