To become a champion, you have to take many things into account. DDB’s Breakfast of Champions No.6 clearly demonstrated the first three, which everybody who has set major goals for themselves should start and reckon with.
What are talking about? About waking up with joy, about the desire to share, as well as quite simply about retaining the gaming spirit in life’s daily race.
Patrik Kloz, a writer and communications expert from Germany opened the eyes of everybody at the breakfast with a quite simple insight – everywhere, one hears talk about the daily importance of sleep, but almost nowhere do you hear talk about what happens in the morning, about how hard it is to get of bed, as well as the after effects that a grouchy morning leaves on the rest of a budding champion’s day. Patrik presented a couple of tips-and-tricks on how to wake up with joy – you will soon have the chance to read about these more extensively in Patrik’s forthcoming book.
In reference to the very first slide of her presentation Ziedot.lv Managing Director Rūta Dimanta posed the question: does a company have a heart? Rūta’s help and inspiration have touched almost every member of the Latvian population, and we, at DDB, are delighted that we have implemented and will definitely implement many things together!
After breakfast, dessert was served in the form of DDB Strategic Director Edgars Pētersons’ presentation "Gamification". He spoke about people who become old, because they stop playing, and about gaming elements in as mature a field as business. Applications, banners, TVCs and even outdoor ads can be a great stage, start or platform for a whole campaign revolving around a game which captivates thousands of people who last thought about games years ago.
Wake up with joy, share from the heart and play using your mind!
