In the greeting which Maxima dedicated to the Latvian nation on the occasion of Latvian Independence Day, kids posed a number of riddles including one about a nation of singers whose singing people travel from all over the world to listen to. Who are they? They, of course, are Latvians. And these are no hollow words, because we’ve not only been and still are, but will continue to be a nation of singers. This was recently underlined in no uncertain fashion by the special award awarded at an international choir festival held in Prague to the choir representing the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga whose singers include DDB Account Manager, Agra Vītola.

During Petr Eben’s Choir Festival, the REA choir received a special award for its performance of the upbeat and attractive vocal recording "Cantico delle creature". Petr Eben’s Festival has been held for the last 19 years and this year it was graced by performances from 50 choirs from various countries around the world, including Canada, Germany, Finland, Russia, Portugal and others. Congratulations to Agra and the other choir singers on their achievements!
