Folk dancing troupe “Līgo” whose line up is bolstered by DDB staff member, Toms Lembergs has won a Grand Prix at the 2nd “Interfolk” International Competition and Festival with its dance “Sasala jūrīna”. The competition took place in St. Petersburg, Russia and more than 40 folk dance troupes from all over the world took place. This success was a great start to “Līgo’s” 65th anniversary season which the troupe is celebrating with eight concerts across Latvia. The grand anniversary finale concert is due to take place on 22 June at Dzegužkalns. We congratulate “Līgo” on its success and wish it many happy returns and a light dance step!
