Evidence of the working abilities, teamwork and mutual support of the folks at DDB is available not only in the form of awards from advertising festivals, but also from adventure competitions. As the winners themselves say, “This time we had an irreplaceable ally who helped us to win - luck”.

DDB’s team of Ulrika, Toms and Māris finished in 1st place overall in xRace adventure competition, beating the next best team by a mere 2 minutes. In turn, DDB’s other hot team of Renārs, Raitis and Artis earned a high 5th placed finish in the men’s competition.

How did it all begin? Back in the spring, two DDB teams decided to test themselves by taking part in Latvia’s most popular adventure competition xRace 2011. Competitors had to battle with horseflies in Latvia’s deepest forests, sink their feet deep into mud, marshes and rivers, climb the hills around Sigulda at least 10 times, jump with a catapult, shoot with a bow, climb up a 12 m high tower with their bare hands, solve mathematical tasks and experience the feeling that the most ordinary soup and meatballs taste like the best meal you’ve ever had!
