Driving rain, wind, lightning and puddles. These were the ingredients served up by the heavens in the recipe for the weather conditions on Wednesday. And this happened to be the day on which one of DDB’s must-be annual traditions – the LeMans karting championship took place and in which this year we were joined on the starting grid by our friends from Nords Porter Novelli! It rained buckets, but we’re well aware of what it means to plough through mud, overcome sleepless nights, run 10 km and spend half a day on a bike riding uphill, because we’ve sampled this at the S2 companies’ strategic games and in the Nordea Riga Marathon. The rain was unable to overwhelm the Schumacher in us, and, one has to admit that the race turned out to be more than just interesting. After all, who doesn’t know how to burn rubber on dry asphalt? The true art of driving begins in challenging weather conditions! The results just like the weather conditions were unexpected! First place went to our Strategic Director, Reins Grants who overhauled Renārs Liepiņš and Kristians Vjakse who occupied the minor places on the podium. Congratulations also go to the ladies for some great results which saw 1st place go to Līva Daukste, while 2nd place went to Daiga Holma!
