DDB’s team of designers has taken on an international flavour. We’ve been joined by Ola Gillfelt who’s lived and worked in Latvia for some time now. Ola studied graphic design and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Australia. He recalls his time in Australia as providing him with the best opportunities in both a professional and personal sense. What’s more, he made many good friends there. After returning to Europe, Ola worked in his native Sweden. Later, following his brother, he moved to Latvia to pursue international work experience. In his visual language, Ola strongly believes in visual simplicity and strives to be as versatile in his work as possible. The integrity of graphic design and advertising is a positive challenge for him. Seeking inspiration and the best visual solution, Ola researches the relevant issues and sometimes refers to art theory, essentially for a broader understanding. His future plans from a professional point of view include exploring and understanding various aspects of the web. Ola likes to create different graphic expressions such as t-shirt designs and has an enthusiasm for creating graphic identities. Outside work, his big passions are films and music.
