Luminous curls, a friendly smile and lots of determination offer a fair description of DDB’s new Account Executive, Lāsma Dārzniece. Orchids happen to be Lāsma’s favourite flower - she grows them at home in vast quantities. However, Lāsma is no gardener; she’s a linguist. She is a graduate of the French Lycée and the Institute of Italian Language and Culture and is currently studying Japanese philology and Asian culture. Appropriately her work experience to date has been in the field of translation working for "Skrivanek Baltic" translation agency where she rose from the position of project manager to become quality manager. Therefore, Lāsma is no stranger to project management and quality control.
Another of Lāsma’s talents is manifested in her ability to translate from French and Italian into Latvian. If you happen to buy the book “177 veidi, kā pacelt sievieti 7. debesīs” (“177 Ways How to Lift a Woman into 7th Heaven”), you’ll find that it was translated by Lāsma.
Her passions during her free time include running and badminton. And for harmony – painting, however when she visits her mum in Lielvārde, Lāsma likes nothing more than sitting down at the piano and playing the preludes of her favourite composer Bach. Come wintertime, Lāsma relaxes reading books and enjoying the joys of winter on a snowboard.
At DDB Lāsma hopes to attain more colour and creative impulses and we hope that she succeeds!
