It’s no secret that right now people are considering their purchases carefully and sales staff are trying to attract consumers with unbelievable discounts. And advertising can no longer just be a dry marketing instrument. The sales campaign created by DDB for the SPICE furniture and interior centre has captured people’s attention in a traditional and original way. Spice’s car tour of the streets of Riga was launched by a car that was driven around with its roof covered with furniture and interior items that people could buy at SPICE. The main idea was to show how a person who’s done some canny shopping transports his purchases home. Stickers on the side of the car proclaimed the campaign venue, timing and discounts. The Volkswagen Golf car complete with a sofa, chairs, lamps, vase, cupboard and other items drove around the streets of Riga for almost two weeks, brightening up daily life and putting a smile on the face of everyone who noticed the unusual mobile ad.
Proof of the effectiveness of the effectiveness of this non-standard advertising solution was provided by the increase in the number of visitors to SPICE in February compared to the previous month. It made us happy and gave pedestrians something to remember!
