The "Make Ideas Not War" slogan presided over both the ADwards creative excellence festival and the football tournament between Latvia’s most powerful advertising personalities which took place during the early evening of March 18 at "Brazīlija" Beach Sports Centre. The final of the event proved to be a real battle for victory between the DDB and !MOOZ football teams.

In line with the best standards of Latvia’s Olympians, we can congratulate ourselves on receiving silver medals and our rivals on their victory! Even though the games were quite tense at times, none of the players was seriously injured, but it proved to be a serious workout for everyone, because football played barefoot on soft sand is much more physically demanding than any of us had imagined.

And it was not just advertising people from Latvia’s agencies who took part; the ADwards jury members also had their own team comprised of Jans Leube, Anders Gustafsson, Mark Wirbeleit and Gatis Mūrnieks who put in committed performances throughout the tournament.
