For the past four years, researchers have conducted annual studies with the aim of identifying Latvia’s favourite brands. And on this occasion, the well-known phrase “Three things are good things, but the fourth comes straight from the heart” is directly applicable to the Top Best Loved Brands of 2008.
And consumers were not the only ones to demonstrate their genuine affection for the TOP 10 brands and six brands in special categories. They were joined by DDB and Kapitals magazine which combined to organise an impressive awards ceremony on September 30.
Even though there has been no change in the TOP 3 since last year, this year’s results also threw up some very positive developments. This year, consumers were favourably disposed to the majority of DDB’s clients moving their brands even closer to the summit of popularity. We were thrilled at the standing of Maxima, Zelta Zivtina and, of course, Swedbank, which with Hansabanka’s name continues to be the most popular bank in Latvia.
The three lectures given by guest lecturers conferred added value to the event. They provided detailed insights into the process of loving brands, global brand building trends and shifts in the behaviour of consumers themselves.
All that remains is for us to raise a glass to “true love” and hope that these brands continue to cement their places in the hearts and minds of consumers!
