We can be proud of yet another successfully executed social responsibility campaign. The fight against emotional and physical violence or mobbing can only be conducted through friendship rather than disciplinary methods. This conclusion was spelled out at the finale of Dardedze’s campaign, The Courage to Make Friends on Friday, 24 April in Vērmanes dārzs. More than 50 classes from all over Latvia who signed up for the competition and other interested parties came together for the finale. Works created for the competition can be seen at: draugiem.lv. The event gave youngsters the chance to take part in various workshops and watch performances by popular Latvian music and dance groups including Dzirnas, Double Faced Eels, Astro’n’out, as well as the musical, Class. The performers all took part voluntarily. The event was hosted by Baiba Sipeniece-Gavare, Valters Krauze and Žanete Skarule. At the conclusion, all of the participants joined in singing a song and the masters of ceremonies announced the competition winners! The most creative class will take a trip to Sweden.
