We are pleased to announce that Riga’s urban landscape has recently been illuminated with the makeover of one its many pedestrian tunnels. As a result, the lives of pedestrians are briefly infused with colour and positive emotions as they hurry through Zelta Zivtina’s bright and mood enhancing tunnel. Many of you will no doubt have noticed the Zelta Zivtina tram as it makes its way along the streets of Riga brightening up the daily lives of the city’s residents and visitors with a journey in an apartment on wheels.
The tunnel is another Zelta Zivtina project in which we at DDB were involved and was conceived in a similar vein. In it, what had previously just been a typically drab and dreary city tunnel underwent a spectacular metamorphosis. The transformation of the tunnel developed into a social collaboration project involving young and creative people who created artworks on the subject of “Friendship”.
This project which evolved with the support of Tele2 is a wonderful example of how a creative idea can be brought to life through an innovative integrated campaign built on the back of a collaboration between communications, PR, media and event agencies.
Zelta Zivtina is an enthusiastic supporter of projects which give youngsters the chance to hone their creative skills;the ZZ Grants’ Competition is due to begin next week. Good luck to Latvia’s youngsters!
